Graduate Admissions

Thank you for your interest in UCF’s Department of Physics. The admission process begins with the applicant completing the Graduate Online Application for Admission here. In addition, the application should include the following supporting documents:

  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae
  • GRE general scores (subject scores are highly recommended, but not required)
  • TOEFL scores (International applicants from non-English speaking countries)
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended (sent directly by the school, not by the applicant)
  • Statement of purpose

In order to receive consideration for admission to the program and financial support, the online application form and supporting documents should be received at UCF’S College of Graduate Studies by the deadlines listed below.

Graduate students will receive financial assistance through fellowships, assistantships, tuition support, free health insurance and/or loans. For more information click on the assistantship information tab or contact the Graduate Program Assistant.

Prospective students are urged to pre-apply before completing the online application by sending their CV, Essay, and Unofficial Transcripts to the committee up to six weeks before the formal application deadline. Send these documents to Ms. Esperanza Soto Arcino (Esperanza.SotoArcino@ucf.edu). For many students, there are possibilities of fellowships, and submitting a pre-application directly to the department can be important for identifying those opportunities.
