Thank you for your interest in UCF’s Department of Physics. At this time we are only accepting applications for Fall and Spring semesters. The admission process begins with the receipt of the Graduate Online Application for Admission along with all application requirements. In order to be considered for admission to a graduate program, the following documents must be received and on file in UCF’s College of Graduate Studies by the stated application deadline: application, residency, test scores and any application requirements specified by the program. All application requirements, aside from transcripts and test scores, must be submitted together with the online application. Transcripts and test scores must be official. Transcripts must be sent directly from all previous schools attended. Graduate students may receive financial assistance through fellowships, assistantships, tuition support, or loans. For more information on assistantships, click on the Assistantship Information tab or contact the Graduate Program Assistant.
All application materials must be received by no later than the Application Deadline listed below, no exceptions. Application materials consist of an application, essay/statement of purpose, resume/curriculum vitae, GRE scores, TOEFL scores (International applicants only), three letters of recommendation and official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended. Students in the process of earning a Bachelors, must submit an official transcript prior to the deadline. If you are admitted to the program, then a final official transcript must be submitted prior to the beginning of the first semester.
Students interested in obtaining financial assistance and being offered assistantship opportunities that include health insurance and tuition waiver, should submit a complete application by December 31 for the Fall semester and by June 15 for the Spring semester.
