Physics Education Research
The Physics Education Research group (PER) is one of the newest research programs in PER in the nation. Formed by faculty originally trained in traditional areas of physics, our group initially started programs that promote science literacy, quantitative fluency, and information fluency. However, our group has expanded its projects to embrace successful educational reforms and replicate them smoothly at UCF. A partial list of interests for the members of our group is: Peer Instruction, Physics in Films, Video Analysis, Interactive Nanoscience Blogging, and studio Physics. For the implementation of some of these projects, the group has received funding from NSF and the UCF Office of Research and Commercialization.
